The U of A's Dr. Ashley Langer, co-director of the Consortium for Environmentally Resilient Business, introduces the first group of panelists.

The U of A Scottsdale Center hosted the inaugural symposium of Eller's Consortium for Environmentally Resilient Business (CERB), bringing together experts in environmental economics, sustainable business practices and energy consumption.

Attended by local and national industry representatives and experts, the all-day meeting included panelists who discussed the implications of wildfires, grid reliability and utility affordability. The meaningful dialogue provided insights and actionable strategies to address pressing issues. The group's ongoing work will focus on the business cost of climate change, the value of information on environmental threats, how enhanced monitoring can prepare utilities for climate change impacts and what incentives/monitoring are needed for a resilient electricity system.
