Last night, the U of A Scottsdale Center hosted two very different - but equally impactful - events that showcased the breadth of the U of A's mission and expertise.

We were honored to welcome new James E. Rogers College of Law Dean Jason Kreag for a gathering with leaders from Arizona’s legal community, including Arizona Supreme Court Chief Justice Ann Timmer, Vice Chief Justice John Lopez IV, Justice James Beene, Justice Maria Elena Cruz, Justice William Montgomery, U.S. District Court Judge Stephen McNamee, Judge Dan Collins and former U.S. Attorney for Arizona Paul Charlton. The evening highlighted the university’s deep and lasting impact on Arizona’s legal and civic leadership.

At the same time, our Maricopa County Cooperative Extension team partnered with Blue Zones Project Scottsdale for a “Plant It, Pair It, Plate It” workshop featuring gardening education, cooking demonstrations and healthy recipes centered around edible plants.

From justice and public service to community wellness and education, the evening reflected the many ways the University of Arizona continues to serve and strengthen communities across the state.
