Scottsdale Center hosts NSF Engines Workshop
Business, education and public sector leaders interact during the NSF Engines workshop.
The U of A Scottsdale Center recently hosted approximately 40 business, education and public sector leaders for an National Science Foundation (NSF) Engines workshop hosted by the U of A’s Research, Innovation & Impact team. The group came together to strategize an NSF Regional Innovation Engine grant proposal that supports technology-driven, inclusive innovation ecosystems by accelerating key technologies, addresses regional challenges and drives economic growth. The U of A effort is led by Mining and Geological Engineering. The NSF Engines program was launched in 2022 to fund regional coalitions of partnering organizations that will catalyze technology and science-based regional innovation ecosystems.
