Spring CATalyst Chats scheduled

Monday

Join us this spring for our CATalyst Chats - events that bring the university into our community and highlight research that’s improving lives here in Arizona and around the world. Throughout 2025, we heard from U of A experts whose research has global impact: in AI and health, space clutter, water resources, fusion energy and sleep health.

The spring lineup includes:

February 12 - AI with a Conscience: How to use technology that reflects human values - featuring Eller College of Management Distinguished Outreach Professor and Founder of the Center for Leadership Ethics Paul Melendez.

March 3 - Why Study Space? How studying the cosmos moves humanity forward - featuring Senior Vice President for Research & Partnerships Tomás Díaz de la Rubia and Director of the Space Institute and Associate Professor of Astrophysics Erika Hamden.

April 2 - The Aging Brain: Unpacking the science of sex difference and a regenerative future - featuring Director of U of A's Center for Innovation in Brain Science Roberta Brinton.

May 7 - Translational Science: from Discovery to Therapy - featuring Associate Research Professor and Associate Director of the Center for Advanced Molecular and Immunological Therapies Ryan Sprissler

Registration is now open for these free events, with another TBD in May. Check-in for all events is at 5 p.m. with program from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
