U of A Scottsdale Center Executive Director Sara Fleury introduces the CATalyst CHAT program and speaker Gondy Leroy.

The U of A Scottsdale Center has kicked off its CATalyst CHATS program, an interactive series of events designed to inform and engage alumni and community and industry partners about research and discovery happening at the university.

Held in mid-March, the inaugural event, “Riding the AI Wave,” featured Eller College of Management Associate Dean for Research Gondy Leroy. Her presentation focused on the architecture of AI and how she is working on automated annotation of behaviors matching diagnostic criteria of autism spectrum disorders for use in electronic health records.

The next CATalyst CHAT, “Tracking Cosmic Clutter,” takes place on April 24. It will focus on the U of A’s Space4 Institute and its role in tracking and monitoring orbital traffic. It will feature a conversation between U of A Senior Vice President for Research and Innovation Tomás Díaz de la Rubia and Space4 Center Director Vishnu Reddy

Registration for the event is open until April 16. Register at this link.
