Building partnerships across borders at the U of A Scottsdale Center
Attendees were able to attend roundtables focused on important regional topics, including mining, semiconductor & advanced manufacturing, aerospace & defense and energy & water technologies.
The U of A Scottsdale Center served as the backdrop for a dynamic day of cross-border collaboration on November 18, as the Arizona District Export Council hosted the first day of the 4th annual USMCA (United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement) SME Dialogue. Nearly 200 attendees participated throughout the day.
The morning opened with remarks from Greater Phoenix Economic Council President & CEO Chris Mackay, setting the stage for a series of focused industry roundtables covering semiconductors and advanced manufacturing, mining, aerospace and defense, and energy and water technologies.
Arizona Commerce Authority Executive Vice President of International Trade & Investment Fernando Garcia headlined the luncheon program, offering insights into Arizona’s growing global impact.
At the core of the event were the B2B matchmaking meetings, where small and mid-sized businesses connected directly with enterprise-level organizations and key industry associations. These conversations sparked new partnerships, strengthened North America’s competitiveness, and deepened cross-border collaboration across the semiconductor and advanced manufacturing ecosystems.
